Sunday October 19th, 2014 All Class Alumni Picnic at Live Oak Park Road, Fallbrook.
FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Alumni Association has announced that Warrior fans now have the opportunity to support a school spirit booster project. They are also invited to this year’s Homecoming game and festivities on Friday, Sept. 20, and an alumni picnic at Live Oak Park on Sunday, Oct. 20.
“The Association encourages Warrior fans to drive by the school and view the beautiful red banners flying proudly in front of the campus,” said Jan Mahr. “The banners (a school spirit booster project of the ASB) can be purchased and personalized depicting a variety of things – class year, organization, business, individuals, families, etc.”
For more information on the banners, email email@example.com or pick up an informational flyer at the Homecoming game, Sept. 20. Alumni attending the game are asked to visit the alumni association booth and sign in for the chance to win a prize.
All Fallbrook alumni are invited to the association’s annual Picnic in the Park on Sunday, October. 20th at Live Oak Park.
“Memories and laughter abound at this fun event,” said Mahr. “This year the classes of 1953, 1958, and 1963 will be celebrating very special events (totaling 165 years) in addition to all the years represented by members of classes from 1936 to present.”
The picnic will feature a delicious lunch prepared by the students of the Fallbrook High ag department – “the tri-tip champs!”
Tickets for the picnic ($10 alumni members, $12.50 non-members) can be secured by mailing Alumni Association, P.O. Box 596, Fallbrook, CA 92088. All FHS alumni are welcome! For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (760) 645-0101.
The Fallbrook Alumni Association was recently recognized by California Legislature Assemblymember Marie Waldron, 75th District. According to Mahr, “The award was presented in honor of outstanding service and community leadership in assisting students in need by providing them with school supplies.”
In keeping with the spirit of the award, this year alumni association members filled and delivered 105 backpacks to Fallbrook High School for the beginning of the 2013/2014 school year.
“FHS alums who work on the project agree that it is truly a community effort, and wish to thank all who so generously support it,” said Mahr. “With the onset of fall, there are many opportunities to help encourage the students at FHS.”
