Fallbrook Alumni Association, Inc for Fallbrook Union High School, Fallbrook, California
The seeds for the new Fallbrook High Alumni Association, Inc. were planted in the year 2000. The Class of 1960 held its 40th reunion and included the classes of 1957 through 1963. A good time was had by all and it was decided to try to stay in touch, get better organized and reach out to other alumni to form an association. The first “official” meetings were held in 2001 and incorporation and non-profit status followed beginning in 2003. Since our focus is support for our alma mater and its students, we naturally began working closely with the school’s administration and staff to provide assistance wherever we could make the most difference. Areas of focus for the school includes scholarships, backpacks, school supplies, help with uniforms and athletic equipment, and to provide yearbooks to students unable to afford them.
Our association also participates in community events and is a member of Fallbrook’s Chamber of Commerce. Our database of members helps organizers of class reunions reach out to fellow alumni and our website, www.fuhsalumni.org, provides additional information along with membership applications and photos of our events such as Homecoming, Fallbrook’s Christmas Parade, the Historical Society’s Community Picnic, and our annual All-Alumni Picnic in the Park held each year on the 3rd Sunday in October at Live Oak Park.
Fundraising to provide assistance to the school is ongoing and consists of donations from members of the association, the community and service organizations, as well as grants applied for through county programs. Membership is only $15/yr. and we encourage any and all alumni eager to give back to their alma mater to join us in helping our young Warriors achieve their goals. Once a Warrior, Always a Warrior!
